Morfologia modifica

Reproducció modifica

És ovípar amb larves i ous planctònics.[6]

Depredadors modifica

És depredat per Stenella attenuata[7] i, als Estats Units, per Thunnus alalunga.[8][9]

Hàbitat modifica

És un peix marí i de clima subtropical.[5]

Distribució geogràfica modifica

Es troba al Pacífic oriental: des de Califòrnia (Estats Units)[10] i el Golf de Califòrnia fins al Perú[11] i Xile.[5][12][13][10][14][6][15][16][17]
